Every business relies on leads or prospects to make it grow. Network Marketing is no different. In fact, generating leads and turning them into warm prospects is the backbone of solid downline growth. But do you really know what a prospect is thinking? Do you know what 3 questions they need to have answered before they join you?
Question 1- Is this real?
With hundreds of ways to earn extra income online or from home and thousands of horror stories of scams and dirty practices, your prospects will want to know if this is a legitimate way to earn money.
Be sure to have solid information to show them about the company, the products your company offers and about the Network Marketing industry. You don’t need to know every tiny tidbit about the CEO’s family, just the basics so you reassure your prospect that your company and the industry is real and worth while joining.
Question 2- Can I do it?
People don’t like to fail and many won’t even begin to try if they know there is a chance they could. You need to show prospects that with the right dedication and the willingness to learn, anyone can do this.
Having a system in place that is easy to duplicate is essential. You also need clear instructions for them to follow on their own time and at their own pace.
Question 3- Will you help me?
“You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.”
This is where your leadership skills take over. Let them know that you will be there to help them learn what is necessary to be successful and then it’s up to them to put it into practice.
This is not rocket science. Your prospects don’t need a PhD but they will need the right person to help them along the way. 99% of the people that get started in this industry will need to learn new skills or uncover new talents they never knew they had. Be a leader they can follow and soon they will be a leader their team will follow.
Give your prospects answers to these questions and you will find you have more new distributors!
