Before I signed up in my MLM, I heard from my sponsor non-stop. Since I signed up, I haven’t heard from her at all. I didn’t sign up with the company right away. I started studying network marketing and internet marketing for about four months before I signed up. My so called upline seemed to be working their business the old way – warm list/cold list, three foot rule … you know the spiel. I think I contacted about 5 people on my warm list before I threw it in the garbage and started building my blog. It is with great thanks to people like you, who share posts like this one, that I didn’t waste a lot of my time on traditional MLM strategies.
I just found your link to this post on a comment in the Better Networker and I am so glad I did. I love your ‘style’ and it is very obvious that you have great content here.

I used to make huge bonehead moves. I was notorious for bouncing from company to company. I bought everybody’s spiel! whata sucker, huh?

Then I met Kenny and Erica. The helped me realize that it really doesn’t matter what your business is, what matters is YOU!

Love the bit about the friends and family list. I know that it has worked for some in the past, but the people on my ‘list’ weren’t the people I wanted to work with. Needed to find a new ‘pond to fish in’ and did with the web. Thanks for posting this. I think it will help a lot of people. Beth
